1. Purpose
This Company Policy sets out the standards of conduct expected of everyone working for or on behalf of Inter Web Services Ltd. It sits alongside our employment contracts, statements of work, and the published policies on this website. Where a more specific policy applies, that policy takes precedence on its subject matter.
2. Integrity and honesty
- We give clients advice we believe to be correct, including when that advice is that a project should not proceed
- We do not make claims about certifications, capabilities, or results that we cannot substantiate
- We disclose conflicts of interest that could affect our advice or recommendations
- We do not offer or accept bribes, improper gifts, or facilitation payments
- Financial records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with applicable law
3. Confidentiality and client material
- Client information is confidential and is used only for the purpose of the engagement
- Mutual non-disclosure agreements are standard before discovery
- Client material is never used in marketing, case studies, or sales materials without written consent
- Access to client systems is granted per engagement and revoked when the engagement ends
- Personal devices and accounts are not used for client data without an approved control in place
4. Information security
Everyone working on our engagements is required to follow our information security practices, which include:
- Multi-factor authentication on accounts with access to client systems
- Least-privilege access, reviewed regularly
- Encryption of devices, and of data in transit and at rest
- Prompt reporting of suspected security incidents
- No sharing of credentials under any circumstance
These practices are aligned to ISO 27001 principles. We describe this as alignment, not as certification.
5. Equal opportunity and respectful workplace
We are an equal opportunity employer and contractor. Decisions on hiring, assignment, progression, and pay are made without regard to age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. Harassment, bullying, and discrimination of any kind are not tolerated and will be investigated and acted on.
6. Working with suppliers and subcontractors
- Subcontractors with access to client systems or data are subject to due diligence and contractual obligations equivalent to our own
- Clients are told when subcontractors will be used on their engagement, and are free to object
- We expect suppliers to meet comparable standards of confidentiality, security, and conduct
- We do not knowingly use suppliers involved in modern slavery or forced labour
7. Conflicts of interest
Anyone working on an engagement must declare any personal, financial, or professional interest that could reasonably be perceived to influence their advice or decisions. Where a conflict cannot be managed appropriately, the person will be removed from the engagement.
8. Speaking up
Anyone who has a genuine concern about conduct that may breach this policy, the law, or a client’s interests is expected to raise it. Concerns can be raised with the Managing Director or the Delivery Director. Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith is itself a breach of this policy.
9. Breaches
Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or contract, and may be reported to clients, regulators, or law enforcement where appropriate.
10. Review
This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated when our practices, legal obligations, or risk profile change. Questions: sales@interwebservices.co.uk.
